I finally got the Jeep I have always wanted.  A 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition.  Dual tops, 5spd, trak-loc axle and add-a-trunk.  Color is Sienna.

I purchased it from Bergeron Chrysler/Jeep/Volvo in Metairie via www.autobytel.com The internet sales manager, Steve Faulk, was the absolute BEST car salesman I have ever talked to! No BS, no hidden fees, came within $7 of my asking price on the FIRST try!

I will update this page as I take more pics and perform more mods =]

more pics, now with hardtop (added Jan 03)

First mod:

57" Olympic rock bumper with 2" receiver and removed the front bumper end thingies

The receiver on the bumper seems rather week. I pull a 13' trailer fairly often and this is what it looks like "loaded" down

Second  mod:

Spare tire cover.  Since I couldn't seem to get one from the dealer, I found one on www.jeepsareus.com . Thx JU for pointing me in the right direction!

Third mod:

Masterbuilt Hitch-Haul receiver rack.  I would love to say this is a great addition, but the Olympic rear bumpers receiver seems to be smaller then standard, so basically, anything I buy to put into 2" receiver WON'T FIT!!!!!

update.  After some grinding, a hitch extender and lots of swearing.. I finally made this work. I am still not too happy with the Olympic receiver part of the bumper, but it works now!  I don't particularly care for the way the receiver is flimsy.  I know it only has a tongue rating of ~ 250lbs, but still....  Eh, either way, it is a great addition. I can put our suitcase, hunting bag and 2 gun cases on it, leaving the inside free!

OUCH!!! My dad inadvertently backed into the side of my TJ with his superduty!
